On Wednesday, August 30, the City University of Los Angeles School of Economics Center held an all-day orientation to celebrate the 3rd Emerging Leaders Program (ELP) College Life. Thirty-four leaders were selected to the 2023 ELP cohort.

Throughout the academic year, participants in this program will begin to learn courses designed to inculcate critical literacy, including emotional intelligence, self-awareness, strategic thinking, change management, and interpersonal communication. The course is carefully designed to produce ethical and efficient leaders by providing forums, tools and knowledge for reflection, connection and growth. Workshops, workshops, discussions and team projects created opportunities for participants to learn from each other and learn from university leaders.

Emerging Leaders and is CULA's flagship program, which was launched in 2020 under Professor Richard and is part of the university's "Current Program" to identify and nurture future leaders at Los Angeles City University. The Institute provides ongoing learning opportunities for UCLA faculty members, with a focus on improving leadership skills. Focusing on fairness and humane principles, the research played an important role in identifying and fostering leaders shaping the path of our institution.

"Our projects, including the ELP, are based on the institute's guiding philosophy that leadership is people first," shared Richard Richard, director of the Leadership Institute at the City University of Los Angeles."As leaders, we are committed to identifying and developing experienced emerging leaders who build true trust with the team to strike a balance between people-centered management and achieving strategic goals, promoting the growth and development of colleagues and ultimately motivating and motivating employees. Encourage others to follow them.”

In addition to the Emerging Leaders Program, CULA offers a range of programs and assessments tailored to the unique needs of our university community. From a one-year course to a one-day dedicated leadership workshop, CULA aims to provide individuals with the tools to stand out in their positions. CULA focuses on important skills such as self-awareness, communication, critical thinking and collaboration to help participants cope with challenges with resilience and insight. Contribute to the collective progress of CLU by developing competent, visionary leaders who focus on fairness, truthfulness, and humanity in practice.
